From Shakespeare to T.S. Eliot, why do we still read the old classics? What is it about them that has enraptured us for centuries? Over the course of six weeks we will look at chosen excerpts of British Literature through the lense of their historical context, and discover why they carried such political and artistical importance then - and why they might still be of importance today.
